PRESS RELEASE

For Immediate Release

Denver, CO – July 29, 2019 –  AQUAOSO Technologies PBC, a software company that provides water risk analytics to organizations impacted by water scarcity, joins The Techstars Sustainability Accelerator, in partnership with The Nature Conservancy in Denver, Colorado. For the next three months, AQUAOSO will work with Techstars and The Nature Conservancy to rapidly scale the AQUAOSO platform to help address water risk.

AQUAOSO launched the commercial version of the water risk research platform in 2018 to help the California agricultural economy identify, understand, monitor, and mitigate water-related risks. Earlier this year the team launched portfolio management tools to help agricultural lenders, growers, and investors manage their loan and land assets in the context of water risk. This week, the team at AQUAOSO is launching its advanced research tool to help its customers better identify mitigation opportunities in the context of their assets.

“AQUAOSO was a natural fit with this year’s accelerator class,” said Zach Nies, Managing Director of The Techstars Sustainability Accelerator. “Given the work AQUAOSO has already done in the agricultural sector of California and their alignment with The Nature Conservancy’s focus on providing food and water sustainability, we see tremendous opportunities to help them accelerate their business model in California and beyond.”

“Spending the next three months in Denver with the accelerator cohort will allow us to expand our reach, value propositions, and ability to enable a water resilient future for our current and future customers,” said Chris Peacock, CEO of AQUAOSO. “With nearly 20% of agricultural lenders in California using our water risk analytics platform, we are excited about the opportunity to leverage our technology across the broader economy.”

William Sarni, CEO and Founder of Water Foundry, an advisor to AQUAOSO and a mentor to the accelerator cohort, said “AQUAOSO has been on a mission to build a water resilient future from day one. Their approach to solving the wicked problem of water resiliency at a global scale is already proving valuable to their customers and the broader agricultural economy. I am excited to continue helping the team scale as they tackle the water problems associated with increasing demand, over-allocation, aging infrastructure, and the impacts of climate change.”
